San Francisco —  Leading political data and software company, PDI, made two significant announcements today regarding their commitment to build upon the data and digital infrastructure for the progressive movement.

For the past 30 years, PDI has been a trusted non-partisan vendor and has supported more than 15,000 clients spanning non-profit organizations, non-partisan and partisan candidates and causes. PDI announced today the company will offer services exclusively to Democratic candidates, progressive organizations, and non-partisan campaigns.

The company will divest any business that does not align with the organization’s Democratic values and will not work with Republican candidates or campaigns. The announcement comes at a time when PDI is building off of momentum from its recent acquisition of the leading supporter management and relational organizing platform, OutreachCircle.

Additionally, PDI is excited to announce the growth of their senior leadership team with the hiring of progressive leaders Giselle Hale and Chris Goddard.

  • Giselle Hale, Chief Operations Officer, is a skilled tech marketing and operations executive with an additional background in progressive campaigns. She is an alumni of Facebook, Obama for America and currently serves as Vice Mayor of Redwood City.
  • Chris Goddard, Senior Product Manager, led data engineering at the DCCC during the 2020 cycle and prior to that led the analytics practice at Blue State Digital.

“We are committed to serving the progressive movement, and we are confident that our best-in-class tools and services will allow our clients to optimize their success at the ballot box and in the communities they aim to serve,” said Gary Brown, CEO of PDI

“Having used PDI since my first city council run in 1999, I understand how critical high quality voter data is to running a successful campaign,” said Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA). “I am excited to see them focus on uplifting progressive voices and causes.”

“PDI has been essential to all my campaign operations, and I am thrilled to know that fellow progressive candidates and campaigns will be better equipped to win in coming election cycles with their data and tools,” said U.S. Representative Ted Lieu (D-CA).

“Organizations such as Planned Parenthood have counted on PDI for data and tools to build support of Pro-Choice candidates, and build networks of activists that are critical to the movement, said Jodi Hicks, CEO and President of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California. This move will help PDI build stronger relationships with other progressive organizations throughout the state and nation.”
