Not every campaign needs a software subscription. Almost half of PDI clients purchase individual data files for their campaign's direct mail, phone banking, texting, or door-to-door canvassing needs. This step by step guide will walk you through the process for making your first data purchase with PDI.
1
Step 1
It is recommended that every campaign develop a strategic plan for how they will raise money, spend money, recruit staff and volunteers, and ultimately, contact voters. As a data and software vendor with vast experience, PDI is ready to help with voter targeting and data resources to support a variety of different contact methods.

Step 2
PDI offers data files specifically tailored for optimal use with each method of communication. Unfortunately, there is no one file layout that can effectively accommodate different types of use. Therefore, it is frequently necessary to purchase multiple files with similar voter universes but for different forms of communication. You will ultimately save money and get more value for the effectiveness of our tailored data product layouts.

Step 3
PDI has a free counts report tool that breaks down voters by their likelihood to vote along with many demographic attributes. Targeting voters is a critical part of campaigning. PDI makes it simple to create a target universe and get instant pricing based on the universe counts.
Enter your district name and select (click on) a data segment on the left margin to review data purchasing options. Select a product type and propensity to get accurate pricing information. Click on the Buy Now button to proceed with your purchase. You will be prompted to confirm your email address so we can identify you as an existing or new customer.
Once the email address is confirmed, an order form will appear for you to complete and submit.

Step 4
After you have submitted your order, you will receive an email with details on creating your online customer portal account. The portal account will guide you through the process for securely setting up your payment information, paying the purchase invoice, and finally downloading your data.
If you already have an existing PDI account, the notification email will help you access the account through the same login credentials (email and password) and then toggle to your newly created portal account.

Step 5
Once the purchase invoice has been paid, you can download the data from the File Pickup page.
Most data products are processed within 24 hours.
