Guide for Purchasing a PDI Software Subscription

PDI Online campaign management software is the industry's most complete and robust software platform. The software subscriptions include a wide variety of tools plus access to PDI most current voter files to give your organization the ability to do what you want on your own time schedule with 24/7 access to the system. If this sounds like exactly what you are looking for, this step-by-step guide will walk you through the process for getting a PDI online software subscription.

1

Step 1

Assess your needs

It is recommended that every campaign develop a strategic plan for how they will raise money, spend money, recruit staff and volunteers, and ultimately, contact voters. PDI Online campaign management software is the most comprehensive solution but has a bit of a learning curve and requires some effort to get the full benefit of its many uses and features (compared to ordering individual data files).

Almost every campaign uses the PDI Online Campaign Management Software in a slightly different way, depending on their resources and needs. Take some time to consider how your campaign can use the software to achieve its strategic objectives and plan accordingly.

Step 2

Figure out which products you need

PDI offers several different software subscription options to fit the needs of different campaigns. Each option has its own pricing structure and permissible use of functionality and data. A key advantage to having a PDI Online Campaign Management Software subscription is that PDI, as a software and voter data vendor, can package both product types together in their subscription options.

We primarily price our subscriptions based on the number of voters in your district. In most cases and assuming your campaign will have typical voter outreach, this structure works. We do have an alternative subscription option that separates the software and voter data pricing to reflect the needs of price conscious campaigns or districts with large voter counts that are lower profile and lack the budget for significant outreach. Our software subscription pricing page provides a detailed look at each option.

  •
Here is a look at our most common software subscription types:
  • Unlimited Use (Mail and Field): This subscription type is our most inclusive for maximum functionality and unlimited data output use. It is ideal and even cost effective for campaigns performing lots of field canvassing outreach, phone banking, texting, direct mail, and managing their volunteer base. The potential expenses not covered with this, or any of our, subscription types would be for actual communication services such as sending text messages, emails or phone calls. This plan is priced for a single election season and may need to be renewed for run-off elections.
  • Unlimited Use (Field Only): The Unlimited Field Use subscription is identical to the Unlimited Mail and Field Use subscription except for the direct mail file data allowance. You can still run mail files from this type of account, however you will be charged for the data based on the number of households exported. The subscription type is ideal for campaigns doing a lot of outreach but using a separate mail consultant or not planning to send direct mail. This plan is priced for a single election season and may need to be renewed for run-off elections. Keep in mind, you can alway upgrade your subscription type if you end up running mail files that exceed the cost of the Unlimited Field and Mail Use Subscription.
  • Pay per Output: These files are usually used by phone bank systems for calling household landlines or individual mobile phones. The layout contains voter details for communicating with voters
  • Enterprise: PDI offers an Enterprise subscription for organizations working year-round that need a permanent software solution for voter or internal member outreach. Contact a PDI sales consultant for more information and pricing for an Enterprise Account Subscription.

Step 3

Go to the "Get Pricing Page" for a Subscription Pricing in Your District

PDI has a special tool for pricing and evaluating each subscription option with a comprehensive list of details for each option. Go to the Software Pricing Page and enter your district name to view the various subscription price options for your district. You can then click on the Buy button for the subscription type you would like to purchase.

4

Step 4

Purchase the data and create your PDI portal account

After clicking the Buy button for your desired subscription type and confirming your email address, an order form will appear for you to complete and submit.

After you have submitted your order, you will receive an email with details on creating your online customer portal account. The portal account will guide you through the process for securely setting up your payment information, paying the invoice software subscription, and finally accessing your full featured PDI account.

If you already have an existing PDI account, the notification email will help you access the account through the same login credentials (email and password) and then toggle to your newly created portal account.

We will need a little time to review and process your order. If we have any questions or concerns we will contact you via the email address or phone number you provided.

5

Step 5

Download the data from the portal account

Once the payment has been processed, you will be notified your file is ready.

Most data products are processed within 24 hours.
